Social Media is the number one outlet that poses the biggest question to businesses and business owners. First off, is Facebook, Twitter, etc is a sales too? Do businesses advertise the same on social media as they would print media? The answers are no and again, no. Social media, from the consumer standpoint, is often sought out as a tool in the buying process. Therefore, businesses need to treat social media outlets as a resource or learning tool for the business to communicate prospective consumer. Provide the consumer with data and/or facts about new products or successes of previous works. Utilize social media as an opportunity to create consumer confidence for your brand. That way, when consumers are ready to make a purchase, they remember the posts, tweets and feeds online and your brand comes to mind.
